The CHOP INTEND (Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia Infant Test Of Neuromuscular Disorders) is a scale initially validated for the assessment of children with infantile spinal muscular atrophy.
The scale assesses their ability to perform certain movements. It contains 16 items, most scored from 0 to 4, 0 corresponding to the lack of response or the ability to perform the movement and 4 corresponding to the ability to fully perform the task. The total possible score is 64.
