Degree courses are offered each year at the Institute of Myology during the academic year:
- AcadeMYO includes a summer session in Paris in June and a virtual winter session in December. This course is primarily aimed at healthcare professionals and scientists from abroad. Over the course of a week, participants follow an intensive programme covering the full range of neuromuscular disorders in children and adults. This theoretical and practical training is delivered in English by internationally recognised experts. It also provides an opportunity to establish collaborations with professionals and teams of doctors and researchers from around the world, particularly from countries where this new medical-scientific discipline is emerging. In 2026, the summer school will celebrate its 28th anniversary. In total, more than 1,000 doctors of over 80 different nationalities across five continents have been trained since its inception in 1998.
- The DIU in Myology aims to provide students with a coherent, structured and up-to-date understanding of neuromuscular disorders, covering their anatomical and physiological foundations, clinical practice, diagnostic investigations and recent research developments. This course is open to French and international doctors and medical students who have completed their postgraduate medical studies.Researchers and clinicians from the Institute of Myology also participate in initial or continuing education programmes such as the ‘Life science complexity’ doctoral school and the DIU in Psychopathology and Neurological Disorders.
