Over the past 11 years, more than 411,000 pupils from 3ème to Terminale, in mainland France and abroad (this operation also takes place throughout the year for French schools abroad), have been able to meet a scientific expert from a laboratory supported by the AFM-Téléthon, to gain a better understanding of genetics, rare diseases, cell therapy, stem cells and all the recent advances in molecular biology, as well as research and its professions. This operation, approved by the French Ministry of Education, is organised by AFM-Téléthon with the support of the Association of Biology and Geology Teachers (APBG).
This year’s event will run from 4 November to 6 December, with researchers, engineers, technicians and doctoral students meeting secondary school pupils to share their experiences of research.
