Tools

  • MyoTools

MyoTools are tools and software designed to assess the muscular strength of different systems (Myopinch for the thumb-index clamp, MyoQuad for the knee flexor-extensor, etc.), movement and resistance to fatigue. They are designed and developed by the Neuromuscular Physiology and Evaluation Laboratory.  These tools and methods are necessary for diagnosing the disease and monitoring patients’ motor performance, particularly in the context of evaluating pharmacological, gene or cellular therapies. The laboratory also provides consultancy services to academics and industry, including the design and monitoring of studies (evaluation methods, outcomes, etc.).

  • Muscle Atlas

The Muscle Atlas is the first image database on muscle. A tool for speeding up research, identifying therapeutic avenues and aiding diagnosis, this database provides an exhaustive, qualified list of muscle biopsies from patients or animals who are ill, whether treated or not. More than 6,000 photos of muscle biopsies from animals and humans, all characterised according to the type of disease and at different stages of the disease, have been recorded to date, and the collection is regularly enriched with new cases.
