Grants Office

The Grants Office missions

The mission of the Grants Office is to support researchers working at the Institute of Myology in their funding applications, whatever their affiliation (INSERM, CNRS, AIM, etc.). Assistance from the Grants Office enables researchers to delegate the administrative and regulatory aspects of their submissions so that they can concentrate on writing their scientific project, as well as bringing an outside perspective to the project.

This involves a number of actions:

  • Identifying calls for projects of interest
  • Validating the teams’ eligibility for identified calls for projects
  • Helping to organise large-scale funding applications
  • Support for project writing (critical proofreading, proposals for paragraphs on dissemination or the Institute’s environment, etc.)
  • Handling the administrative side of the project (filling in online forms, drawing up budgets, etc.)
  • Search for grants to finance post-docs, before or after their arrival at the laboratory

The Grants Office also assists researchers after their project has been selected by the funder, particularly in setting up funding or helping to write monitoring reports.

The Grants Office offers a monthly internal newsletter to keep track of funding opportunities of interest to the Institute of Myology, as well as Grants Office Rendez-Vous (GO Rendez-Vous): a 30-minute presentation and discussion on a given topic, with the replay and presentation materials made available to researchers afterwards.
