In vivoDans le vivant, à l’intérieur de l’organisme. electrophysiology and multiplexed chemogenetics demonstrate that, rather than hyperexcitation, ALS MNs experience postsynaptic disruptions and decreased synaptic responses. Synaptic restoration by cAMP/PKA improves disease pathobiochemistry stimulating MN firing, supporting a synaptic failure model for ALS.
