A look back at the 26th AcadeMYO summer school

The 26th edition of the Institute of Myology’s summer school has just come to an end. It was held face-to-face at the Institute of Myology from 16 to 20 June.

Every year, the Institute organises a 5-day summer school (AcadeMYO) to enable French and foreign professionals (18 countries* represented this year) to follow a condensed programme of myology courses in English.

For this summer session, 24 students came to perfect their skills in fundamental and clinical myology: the majority were neurologists, but there were also neuropaediatricians, neurology residents, pharmacists, geneticists, specialists in internal medicine, specialists in neuromuscular neurology and specialists in neurology training.

This year, participants were able to attend 13 plenary lectures and 8 practical sessions in the form of workshops and laboratory visits. They also had exceptional access to the video library of the AcadeMYO online platform, which includes more than 60 virtual courses.

See you in June 2026 for the next edition of the AcadeMYO Summer School and in a few months’ time, in December, for a winter version in virtual format!

*This year’s students came from 18 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Uruguay and Uzbekistan.
