A look back at the Institute’s Fête de la Science

On Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 October, we had the pleasure of welcoming 80 visitors at the Institute of Myology for “Fête de la Science” (Science Festival).

The programme included:

  • a presentation of the Institute, its missions, activities and expertises,
  • a tour of the Neuromuscular Physiology and Evaluation Laboratory with demonstrations of the evaluation tests carried out in our laboratory during clinical trials and patient follow-up, as well as our Myotools for testing strength,
  • a tour of the NMR and Spectroscopy Laboratory to discover the specific research programmes developed by our teams of researchers and the non invasive quantitative imaging techniques used in our protocols for monitoring neuromuscular patients during MRI examinations.

These two days provided an opportunity to give the public (patients, donors, students, general public, etc.) a concrete insight into our areas of research, our expertise and our know-how, while interacting with a curious and enthusiastic audience.

Thank you to all our curious and interested visitors.

See you in early June for more discoveries in our laboratories during the “Muscle Week” open days!
