Andoni Urtizberea reviews the 2023 session of the Summer School of Myology, which was held from 12-16 June 2023 in a hybrid version. This was the 25th edition of this summer school created by the Institute of Myology.
What was the number of participants this year?
We had 50 registered participants, 22 face-to-face and 28 online, from 26 countries, including Uzbekistan for the first time. We also had two industrial sponsors, PTC Therapeutics and Sarepta Therapeutics.
Has the course programme changed since last year?
It has evolved from an entirely virtual version to a hybrid version. Distance learning students took 20 hours of theoretical instruction over 3 days. For the 5-day face-to-face version, the teaching consisted of 23 hours of theory and 12 hours of practical workshops. Finally, 44 videos are available online on the platform (including 4 new ones added in 2023), corresponding to around 50 hours of lessons.
