Director of the Neuromuscular
Investigation Center
The NIC has three laboratories and one biological resource centre:
- the Neuromuscular Physiology and Evaluation Laboratory, which specialises in the design and development of measurement tools used in clinical trials
- the NMR Imaging and Spectroscopy Laboratory, dedicated to the in vivoDans le vivant, à l’intérieur de l’organisme. study of muscle anatomy, physiology and biochemistry
- the Muscle Histopathology Laboratory, devoted to identifying and characterising neuromuscular diseases of genetic origin
- the Myobank-AFM biological resource centre, whose purpose is to support research into neuromuscular diseases by collecting, preparing, storing and providing human tissue samples. This biological resource centre is intended exclusively for research use, in accordance with the fundamental rights of the human person.
The NIC laboratories and the Myobank-AFM biological resource centre, drawing on their expertise in muscle research, work with all the Institute’s teams and offer services and advice to industrial and academic partners as part of clinical trials or collaborations.
