Governance and organisation

The Institute of Myology brings together many specialists in care and in clinical and basic research. It pools the resources of a private partner, the Institute of Myology Association (“Association Institut de Myologie” in French), and of public partner institutions with complementary expertise: Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), the Paris public hospital system; the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA); the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm); Sorbonne University; and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Each entity has its own organisation and its own dedicated partners.

The Institute of Myology Association was created in 2005 as a non-profit association governed by the French Act of 1 July 1901, whose founding members are AFM-Téléthon and Généthon. Its mission is to facilitate the coordination of the Institute of Myology’s activities.
