UHF MAMUTH

The creation of the university hospital federation (UHF), Musculoskeletal Diseases and Therapeutic Innovations (MAMUTH), is a unique opportunity to bring together the best healthcare, teaching and research facilities, in the field of musculoskeletal diseases.

Musculoskeletal diseases affect a significant number of patients of all ages. Certain muscle diseases (myopathies) are relatively common and have, over the past several years, already attracted a significant number of research projects and major advances for patients. However, certain more rare bone or muscle diseases, or conversely very common but less “severe” are not sufficiently supported.

  • Research Directorate: Prof. Bertrad Fontaine
  • Clinical Directorate: Prof. Raphaël Vialle

The university hospital federation includes more than fifteen clinical services and research laboratories in order to give more coherence to the management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The diagnosis and management of these diseases can thus begin as early as the prenatal period and continue throughout childhood and adolescence, then into adulthood within the various teams of the university hospital federation.
