On 17 and 18 June 2026, the GenoTher biocluster, which specialises in genetic medicine, organised the second GenoTher Summit in Paris. The event, held under the theme ‘Accelerating the future of genetic medicine’, brought together more than 400 participants: researchers, clinicians, representatives from NGOs, biotech companies, the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory authorities and investors, from all over the world.
The programme featured more than 40 presentations by experts from prestigious institutions in France, Europe and internationally, who discussed the current challenges and promising prospects for genetic medicine.
Bruno Cadot, Head of Research at the Institute of Myology, presented the progress made in Work Package 10 (WP10), led by the Institute of Myology, which is dedicated to improving the diagnosis and monitoring of patients by combining imaging, MRI and functional assessment approaches.
Discussions with members of the Scientific Advisory Board attending the conference will help to maximise and improve the progress of the project as a whole. This combination of expertise and resources will, in the very near future, make gene therapy accessible to as many people as possible.
