Organised during the general assembly of the Association Francophone des Glycogénoses (French Association for Glycogenoses, AFG) families and research stakeholders involved in glycogenoses were brought together over two days.
Meetings with families (Rencontres des familles), organised by the AFG on October 22 and 23 in Lyon, allowed researchers, medical teams, reference centres for rare diseases and pharmaceutical industry professionals to meet with individuals with glycogenoses and their families.
Several research teams presented their research projects in glycogeneses and explained how they worked, in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary centres, experts in these diseases, particularly the Institute of Myology (Paris) and the reference centre for hereditary diseases of hepatic metabolism (Clamart).
