JE Morel bookMolecular and Physiological Mechanisms of Muscle Contraction is a treatise crafted from a careful re-examination of all previously published evidence in every fields concerning muscle, muscular contraction mechanisms and some muscular diseases. The author first reviews traditional approaches of the physiological phenomenon, then he describes with details a more complete hybrid model of muscle contraction. Hybride because based on the standard Huxley model (1957) and integrating the most recent findings, even unpublished data.

Jean-Emile Morel was a researcher in biophysics at the CEA and at the Ecole Centrale de Paris and UPMC. Funded in part by Telethon, he has studied muscular system and its functioning.
