A look back at the 3rd edition of ‘Muscle Week’

The 3ᵉ edition of Muscle Week, organised from 2 to 8 June 2025 by the Institute of Myology and AFM-Téléthon, mobilised researchers, healthcare professionals, the world of sport, businesses, local authorities and the general public around a major public health issue: muscle, the key organ in our lives and our general good health.

At the Institute, the various events organised throughout the week to promote knowledge about muscle and our activities were well attended.

Around a hundred curious and interested visitors paid us a visit during the Open Day on Saturday 7 June.

The day was even the subject of a report broadcast on the 12:45 news programme on the French TV M6 the following day.

The Institute’s teams also conducted awareness-raising operations in the field and carried out demonstrations and strength tests with the Myotools:

  • at our partner CARAC, a mutual insurance company and pioneering premium partner of our future Myology Foundation, on Monday 2 June
  • on the Sport-Santé stand of the French Tennis Federation at Roland-Garros, on 6 dates during the fortnight of Roland-Garros, from 26 May to 4 June
  • on a stand dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of muscle at the Adidas 10K Paris sporting event, on Sunday 8 June

Two webinars were also organised with our experts, in collaboration with AFM-Téléthon and partners:

  • A Twitch live session entitled “Impact de l’activité physique sur les performances e-sport” broadcast on the AFM-Téléthon Twitch channel with Julien Mazerie, Tuesday 3 June
  • A webinar entitled “Des muscles pour une meilleure santé” in collaboration with the Fédération Française de Force (Ludwig Wolf) and with our experts Simone Birnbaum and Bruno Cadot, Wednesday 4 June.
