Two young researchers, a PhD student and a postdoctoral fellow, from the Muscle organization & therapy of dominant centronuclear myopathy team co-led by Marc Bitoun and Stéphane Vassilopoulos at the Institute’s Center of Research in Myology, presented their work at two international myology conferences.


At the 30th International Congress of the World Muscle Society (WMS), held from 7 to 11 October 2025 in Vienna, Austria, postdoctoral researcher Eline Lemerle received the Elsevier Poster Prize. This prize recognises a few oral presentations or posters by young researchers from among the dozens submitted. Her poster focuses on her work carried out as part of the DREAMS project, which helps to stimulate innovation in autophagy research and studies on neuromuscular disorders:

That same week, from 7 to 10 October, the ESGCT conference was held in Seville, Spain, at the end of which Inès Akrouf, a PhD student in the team led by Sofia Benkhelifa-Ziyyat (MyoVector), received the ESGCT Travel Grant for her abstract and oral presentation:
- Efficacy of AAV vectors and optimization of therapies in mouse models of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Dynamin 2-related dominant centronuclear myopathy
