In 2024, a new four-year strategic plan was launched with the ambition of making the Institute the standard-bearer for Myology for the benefit of patients and society.Â
Faced with major challenges and societal issues such as sedentary lifestyles, an ageing population, and the rise of non- communicable and chronic diseases… and backed by nearly 30 years of expertise and pioneering research in the field of muscle and neuromuscular diseases, the Association Institut de Myologie and the AFM-TĂ©lĂ©thon have decided to create a Foundation of Myology. This future foundation, unique in the world, will aim to study, diagnose, evaluate and treat muscles in all their states throughout life.
