Operation “1,000 researchers in schools in France and abroad”

Once again this year, scientific experts from the Institute of Myology, Genethon and I-Stem will travel from November 6th to December 1st in many colleges and secondary schools to help students better understand the latest scientific and medical advances and to make them discover the world of research.

On the agenda, after a reminder of the bases of genetics, subjects as complex as genetic diseases, rare diseases, gene and cellular therapies and stem cells will be developed.

Experts will also discuss, in a more general way, what is the purpose of research, what are the advances of innovative therapies and what are the stakes. Finally, they will cover life in the laboratories, and in particular the daily life of the intervening researcher and the different professions of the research.
