Team leaders : Gillian Butler-Browne & Vincent Mouly
Objectives : Our group is interested in the molecular pathways and the cellular compartments that regulate the regenerative capacity of human skeletal muscle both in health and in disease. In vivo and in vitro studies have been used to determine the mechanisms involved in the proliferation (mitotic clock) differentiation and pathogenesis of human skeletal muscle and therapeutic strategies are being developed. An ex-vivo model has been developed to test the regenerative capacity of human cells in the mouse. In collaboration with clinicians, who are members of the group, we have set up a clinical trial based on autologous cell therapy for OPMD.
Our group is made up of the following people :
- Belaid BOUAZZA, PhD student
