Psychological support groups linked to the clinical activity

  •  "Genetic consultation and the psychologist" work group
 
This group, led by Jean Gortais, a psychoanalyst and senior lecturer at the Clinical Human Sciences Department of Paris-VII University, proceeded intil July 2007. It went on with its reflection and research on clinical practices and news issues related to genetic tests development. A handbook for students in psychology will soon come out of this work.      [more]
 
 
  •  "Psychologists for neuromuscular diseases" work group
 
This group organises meetings which aim to define the place and practice of psychologists in the specialised consultations in neuromuscular diseases. It assembles about ten participants, psychologists practising in consultations and psychologists acting in an advisory capacity to the AFM. The group is led by Françoise de Barbot, a psychologist who has practised in neuropaediatrics. Its work has been published in the journal "Neuropsychiatrie de l'enfance et de l'adolescence" (March 2008; vol.56-n°2).      [more]
