The generous support of the French people to the Telethon provide AFM with
funding for the long-standing and far-reaching project to create a research and
care institute dedicated to the muscle. AP-HP gives the go-ahead for the setting
up of the Institute at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital.
Meanwhile, AP-HP sets up a pluridisciplinary consultation for neuromuscular
diseases at the Risler pavillion.
